Disclosures
HQ CFO Limited ("HQ CFO") provides this Disclosures page in addition to its Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Cookie Policy. These disclosures clarify the relationship between marketing content on this Site and any professional services we may render under a signed engagement letter.
1. About HQ CFO Limited
HQ CFO Limited is a private company incorporated in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. We provide strategic CFO, accounting, bookkeeping, tax planning and filing, compliance advisory, and corporate-services advisory to e-commerce founders and international operators. Our registered office is Room #40, 10/F, Wah Hing Industrial Mansions, 36 Tai Yau St, San Po Kong, Hong Kong.
2. Marketing material, not professional advice
All content published on this Site, in our newsletter, on our social channels, in downloadable resources, and in blog posts is for general information and marketing purposes only. It is not a substitute for tailored professional advice. Specific facts dictate specific outcomes. Statutes, case law, processor policy, ad-platform policy, and regulatory enforcement all evolve. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of any Site content without engaging a qualified professional who has reviewed your full facts.
3. No client relationship from Site visit or consultation alone
Visiting this Site, completing the consultation form, sending us an email, or speaking with us during a complimentary consultation does not by itself create any client, advisor-advisee, fiduciary, or attorney-client relationship. A professional services relationship arises only when both parties sign a written engagement letter that specifies scope, fees, term, and conditions.
4. Receipts and outcome statistics
Statistics such as "$4.2M+ unlocked", "$11M+ saved", "100% audit-clean clients and books", and "0 Layer-1 recovery-floor refunds triggered" reflect the cumulative outcomes across our book of clients to date. Case studies on the Site are anonymised; specific dollar amounts and timelines are accurate (subject to rounding for readability). Individual results depend on facts and are not guaranteed. Substantiation for any case study is available under NDA on request.
5. Recovery floor and operational SLA
Our written recovery-floor commitment (the "Layer-1 Recovery Floor") and operational service-level commitments (the "Layer-2 SLA") apply only when set out in a fully executed engagement letter and only on the eligibility conditions stated in that engagement letter (including, without limitation: a minimum number of active payment processors, revenue band, full read-only platform access during the consultation, and the client's follow-through on the recommended action sequence). Statements about these commitments on the Site are descriptive; the engagement letter is controlling.
6. Tax, legal, and regulatory boundaries
HQ CFO is an advisory firm, not a law firm. Where your engagement requires legal advice, including formal corporate-law opinions, litigation support, or jurisdiction-specific filings outside our scope, we route work to qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not give legal advice and nothing on the Site should be read as legal advice. Tax filings prepared by HQ CFO are prepared under our advisory engagement; reliance on tax positions taken in a return is governed by the engagement letter.
7. Jurisdiction-specific limitations
Tax, financial-services, and compliance regulation differ materially by jurisdiction. Site content that references specific tax codes (e.g., U.S. IRC Section 174; Hong Kong IRO Section 14), regulatory schemes (e.g., FTC ROSCA, Visa VAMP, state-AG enforcement), ad-platform policy (e.g., Meta, TikTok), or processor policy is current as at the "Last updated" date above and may change. Always verify against current authority before acting.
8. Forward-looking statements
Some Site content describes projected tax savings, expected recovery ranges, or future operational outcomes. Such statements are forward-looking, reflect our best estimate at the time, and are subject to change. They are not guarantees.
9. Third-party trademarks and platform names
We refer to third-party platforms and trademarks (Shopify, Amazon, Stripe, PayPal, CheckoutChamp, AMEX, Airwallex, Payoneer, HSBC, Meta, TikTok, Xero, QuickBooks Online, and others) for descriptive and editorial purposes only. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Use of these names does not imply partnership, endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship unless explicitly stated.
10. Conflicts of interest and independence
HQ CFO is independent and not compensated by any payment processor, accounting-software vendor, or ad platform for routing client work. Where we recommend or coordinate with a partner law firm or specialist vendor, the relationship is disclosed in the engagement letter.
11. Complaints and disputes
If you have a complaint about content on this Site or about a service we have provided, please email hello@hqcfo.com. We will respond within 5 business days and aim to resolve any reasonable complaint promptly. Disputes are governed by the laws of Hong Kong and the dispute-resolution clauses in our Terms of Service and the applicable engagement letter.
